On a wet and windy evening in Kilsyth Dunipace kicked off their league cup campaign with a good performance, if not a result to match.
For large spells of the game Dunipace were in control and in midfield especially were making it hard for Kilsyth to get on the ball. The passing movements making it hard for Kilsyth
to match their visitors.
After missing a series of chances and striking the woodwork, Bryan Grant put the visitors ahead with a wonderful free kick that flew beyond the keeper into the corner from 25 yards. It was a goal Dunipace deserved
for the way they played up to that point, but unfortunately despite continued pressure not one that the Pace could build uopn.

In the second half the Pace continued to press, again creating good chances and striking the woodwork, but a second goal just wouldn't come.
And in a cruel twist Kislyth scored an equaliser deep into stoppage time to tie the game at 1-1 and send the men from Westfield home dissappointed
There were plenty of positives to take from the game and continued performances such as these will see the Pace fare well in their endeavors this season.
