At the fifth time of asking this Round 2 Emirates Scottish Junior Cup tie went ahead at the park of Muirkirk's neighbours Lugar Boswell.
To say conditions were not ideal would be an understatement as the rain and wind howled over what was already a pretty sodden playing surface. That said, Dunipace with a number of players missing through Injury/work commitments made the best of conditions to win through 2 - 0.
The opening goal came from Ryan McCafferty, collecting a Kevin Mullen pass and driving forward before letting fly from 25 yards. The home keeper could perhaps have dealt better with the effort, but credit to McCafferty for pulling the trigger and making it 1 - 0 to Dunipace.
And it was 2 - 0 not long after as Tweedie rose to head a McCafferty corner. His first effort was blocked but the striker was quick to tap in from all of half a yard for his goal.
Despite both sides having further chances, Meighan in the away goal making a couple of good stops, it wasn't a great spectacle for those watching thanks entirely to the conditions.
Dunipace though will be happy to have progressed to face another Ayrshire side, Cumnock, in the next round this weekend.
