Some poor defending and a combination of poor finishing and good goalkeeping by the home keeper tell the story of this Division 2 tie.
0 - 0 at half time with Dunipace creating but failing to take a number of chances and the home side restricted to little in the way of efforts on goal the second half started with disaster for the Pace.
A long, hopeful punt upfield wasn't dealt with and the striker was only too happy to oblige, though goalkeeper Gary Strachan will be a little miffed at how he let a shot that he could have thrown his hat on sneak in at the far post as he thought it was heading wide.
Dunipace pulled level 10 minutes later from a corner, Graeme MacMillan rising to get his head on the delivery and arrow the ball into the corner, but no sooner had this goal went in than the Ton were back in front.
Another hopeful punt upfield from the goalkeeper and this time it was MacMillan and O'Brien leaving it to each other and with neither taking the initiative the striker snuck in to finish superbly with one touch.
Two goals against coming from punts from the opposition goalkeeper and the side playing the best of the football in the game found themselves (deservedly) 2 - 1 down through their own slackness as much as the excellent finishing from the Shettleston striker.
And that's how it was to end. With every point being a prisoner in terms of the promotion race Dunipace will hope they have not shot themselves in the foot in what's looking to be a very tight table in the run in.
